Let's say solely for the sake of argument that SF didn't have their ducks in a proper row, HOW ON EARTH DOES THE IFL FRONT OFFICE MISS SEEING THAT ? Mr. Crow , would've NEVER let such a GLARING oversight pass. remember Dayton ? Though as I noted in another thread sources are telling me that there may not be an oversight by legal reasonings...Lou's correct here. The UIF never missed something as obvious as this supposedly was. And that tells me this wasn't all that obvious. There's more to this story, and it's not done yet.

I'm pretty sure Sioux Falls did have Workers Comp for the players. It just wasn't set up through the league like it was suppose to. That is a clear mistake and SF should pay the consequences for it. But if anybody for a second thinks the punishment here fits the crime, you have absolutely no clue. Awful. I will root on SF and their appeal as I root for Omaha every week (minus the 23492 byes). Yeah, it cost Benizio a finder's fee. So the Storm got bombed for it. Insane. If they had the necessary workers' comp, they had the necessary workers' comp. It's as simple as that. The fact it might have cost some guy who's as qualified as I am to run a league some cash...insane. Really, this is the NIFL with different buffoons running it.

What a screwjob! I know it was mentioned but the Storm's arena is fine for the af2. Look at Amarillo if you have a question. This is nothing more than Dittman and the other league owners screwing the Storm. Why else would the league screw over the Storm fans like this? The Storm knows they have a good offer on coming to the duece and now its time to take it.

It sure looks like it might well be time to.
But first they need to go 13-5 or so and win the IFL title going away.

Any possible champion except the Storm this year is going to be illegimit even if the Storm make the playoffs. They will be short a man the whole time. To me it does not matter what the crime is. Short of criminal charges against the entire organization there is almost no crime to fit this punishment. You do not levy capital punishment for petty theft, or even for grand theft.....I have never heard of a punishment like this being levied against a team of players and fans in ANY pro sport. I say to hel with this league, go home and find a new league that wants to be run in a serious manner and not like a secretive tight-lipped three ring circus. The fact that the league has not commented on this matter (or any other matter) is very NASCAR-ish. There is a reason I turned away from racing...

I've called my shot - the Storm are going to go on a beat down run now. They won't lose another game this year (on the field, just to ensure we're on the same page here).

I do believe that is the best course of action. This should really ramp up the team. I do hope they can stay away from the penalty monster though. There will be some hot heads tonight. Nothing would be nicer at this point than to go out and win it all and ram the title trophy right up their......

Well, I don't think they'll be hothead angry at Billings. From what I've seen and heard, the fellow UIF teams are exasperated at this as well.
But they're going to be focused from here on out. And when they host Muskegon, I really hope you guys go for the 132-point indoor football scoring record.

I'd love to follow the Outlaws fans advice and stand behind the players and coaching staff......
it sickens me that the front office, including ownership, and the league allowed this situation to even occur.
I'd so love to watch the Storm win the championship... in Billings..

No, I do not mean to imply that the Storm players will be upset with Billings in particuliar, just short fused in general. The Storm has a long road ahead though, and I am afraid the tracks start at Billings house. Time to get this train rolling. The team and the fans can't just sit and wait for all the facts to come out, they have to start pouring the coal on and kick butt. (while looking for a new league)

The more I look at this the more I think that no matter what "comes out" this whole thing stinks to high heaven. I can't wait for the teams to start getting corn-holed for things that did have an effect on players and not just a victimless mistake by the Storm. And it dam well better happen because I am sure the Storm has always paid players etc. How bad will the penalty be for assault on a player? Boy, thats gonna leave a mark.....I am reasonably sure that one, maybe even two other teams have had rules bent or broken. Hmmm..Or was this a poppy-**** witch hunt? Hmmm...

Cracks me up. When the UIF officials stole our rings and gave them to sf in 05 nobody had a problem with it. Now sf gets a big dose of karma and it's time to look for a new league. Quit yer bichin and be happy with what you have had.
And as for the hotheads, your team is a bunch of latehittin cheapshotting punks anyhow so nothing will change, and your crappie flopper of a quarterback will get a penalty called on Billings' defense like he always does.
