Chad Mustard and Fred Jackson are two players that have come from playing in Indoor Football to playing, and starting, in the NFL.

Chad Mustard
Currently plays for the Denver Broncos.
Indoor Football Facts: He played for the Omaha Beef when they were in the NIFL in 2002. He played 13 games, 10 of which were as a receiver and 3 at guard. He caught 25 passes for 260 yards and 12 TDs. On defense he had 2 solo tackles.
NFL Facts: He signed with the Cleveland Browns in December of 2002 and was placed on the practice squad for the final four games of the season. In 2003 the Browns sent him to NFL Europe to play 10 games for the Rhein Fire where he caught 16 passes for 167 yards and 1 TD. He made his NFL debut with Cleveland on 12 October 2003 against the Oakland Raiders. He played 10 games for Cleveland on the Offensive Line, at Tight End, and on Special Teams. He caught 4 passes for 29 yards and returned 1 kick for 6 yards. He played in 7 games for Cleveland in 2004 where he caught 1 pass for 9 yards and returned 2 kicks for 13 yards. He was placed on injured reserve on 17 November 2004 due to a left foot injury. In 2005 he was in the Carolina Panthers training camp, but did not get signed by the team. In 2006 he started 4 games (played in 12) for the Denver Broncos as primarily a blocking Tight End and caught 2 passes for 23 yards. In 2007 he played 12 games for the Broncos at multiple positions on the Offensive Line and at Tight End, catching 5 passes 62 yards. To date he has played in 41 NFL games, caught 12 passes for 123 yards, and returned 4 kicks for 21 yards.

Currently plays for the Buffalo Bills.
Indoor Football Facts: He played for the Sioux City Bandits at Running Back when they were in the NIFL in 2004 and when they were in the UIFA in 2005. In 2004 he played in 12 games at Running Back for Sioux City where he rushed 190 times for 760 yards and 21 TDs, caught 33 passes for 302 yards and 2 TDs, and returned 4 kicks for 54 yards. He also threw 3 passes, 1 was complete for a 6 yard TD, 1 was incomplete, and the last was intercepted (a passer rating of 42.36).
