Barto doesn't much care about losing money - I don't think it'd bother him a second to be left on that island like that.

RR should be on an island. (with no internet service) They'd be the best run indoor team ever! ;D
My problem with what I was told is that it's getting late in the game to be switching leagues. This kinda reminds me of when Green Bay was supposed to jump to the UIF, but then Noble bought the team so it never happened. I'd be surprised to see the three teams I mentioned back out, but we all know stranger things have happened.

Nothing that happens in this sport really surprises me anymore, but I don't expect any other teams to leave at this point either. I haven't heard anything about Frisco's arena issue though, so I am curious what they're going to do if it is indeed June before they can play a home game there.

From what I was told today, it sounds like Saginaw and Muskegon are having second thoughts. I just don't see anyone leaving at this point in the game though . . .

Why not? Not like things have been finalized. If they're having second thoughts, better get out now than to wait - or worse - get into the season and then decide.

No team would bolt during the season . . . well, other than Rochester.

Indeed. Rochester would have to be undefeated at that point to do that though, based on past history, and I don't see that happening. Of course, I haven't seen the schedule yet so anythings possible. I think if Bloomington can competently replace Burke though, then they'll hand Rochester a couple of losses.
I see all 21 teams making it through the season, whether they all stay going into 2010 is another matter.
