If your all-time favorite player from your favorite team left, would you follow the player or stay with the team? -Scout

For me, my team is first. I'd keep tabs on the player if I really liked him as well.
Example, my NFL team is the Chargers. When Drew Brees left I thought it was the wrong decision even though Rivers has played great since. I've kept tabs on Brees, but really have no attachment to the Saints and feel no satisfaction at all that they won the Super Bowl. Good for Brees, but it does nothing for me. My team is my team. I know plenty of my friends though that change teams constantly following the hottest player, but that's not for me. When the Chargers let Seau go I was pretty pissed since him and Fouts are my favorite Chargers of all time and I didn't like seeing Seau go like that. When Seau was on the undefeated Patriots squad that had a chance to win the Super Bowl I was still rooting for the Giants to win since I can't stand Brady and his squad. I would've felt great for Seau winning a ring, but wouldn't have liked seeing the rest of the Patriots win it. I guess I'm a team guy in the end and that's what makes football interesting to me is the team aspect. I follow players as well, but not as much as teams. I may hate some of my teams and often disagree with their moves, but I stay blindly faithful anyway, waiting for the one day it pays off with a championship.

I agree with BC, follow your team, the fickle nature of indoor football doesn't lend itself to long careers, players will come and go.. You're not going to see anyone in Billings wearing red if Chris Dixon started playing in Sioux Falls (shudder)...
I think we all follow #22 in Buffalo.

I would be the first one booing his *** if that happened.

Yeah, personally speaking, I feel that the team is of more importance... A player doesn't make the team - they only contribute. Players come and go but a Team is forever!

Players come and go but a Team is forever! Not in indoor football... but to answer your question--I support my team first, but I always have a soft spot for players who used to play for my team or played in indoor ball in general (like Texxx said, Action Jackson in Buffalo always gets a look).
