CF4L, BNDC and I had a discussion on facebook about Suh and his current status among defensive tackles this year. He's near the top in sacks, but isn't the leader...but that doesn't matter. When you combine sacks, tackles, interceptions, fumble recoveries, defensive TDs, etc (basically all defensive stats for his position), he's the clear number one.
Even in fantasy leagues with defensive players by position (of which I'm in one) he's a clear number one (and he's even had his bye week, while some in the top ten haven't):
Player (Tm - Pos) Points
Ndamukong Suh (Det - DT) 50.50
Haloti Ngata (Bal - DT) 42.50
Kyle Williams (Buf - DT) 40.50
Dwan Edwards (Buf - DT,DE) 38.50
Colin Cole (Sea - DT) 35.00
Barry Cofield (NYG - DT) 34.50
Ahtyba Rubin (Cle - DT) 33.50
Israel Idonije (Chi - DT) 33.00
Tommy Kelly (Oak - DT) 32.00
Sione Pouha (NYJ - DT) 32.00
Fantasy leagues don't mean jack for real life though, so just realize he was the NFL rookie of the week for this past week and also the rookie of the month for October...pretty good for a defensive tackle (those awards are usually for offensive players).
Here's some more:
I'd love to see him win NFL Rookie of the Year over Bradford.

DT Ndamukong Suh was cited by most coaches and personnel directors polled by The Sports Xchange as the most outstanding first-year player in the NFL. "The guy is playing like a five-year (veteran)," one NFC offensive coordinator whose team has faced the Lions told The Sports Xchange. "He's taking over games, and you don't often see that at tackle, much less from a rookie." Suh has been nonplussed so far by the jump to the pros. Lions defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch noted that "no situation has been too big" for Suh so far. So far, the former Nebraska star has 27 tackles and 6.5 sacks. There hasn't been a tackle chosen as defensive rookie of the year since Tim Bowens of Miami in 1994. Linebackers have claimed the award seven straight seasons and nine of the past 10 years. Only two other tackles in the league currently have more than three sacks. "But this guy is special," acknowledged Washington guard Artis Hicks after Suh posted five tackles (including four solos and three for losses), two sacks, two hurries and a fumble recovery for a touchdown in last week's victory over Washington. "When he doesn't want to be blocked ... he's a monster." A tackle hasn't registered double-digit sacks since Warren Sapp had 10 in 2006. Suh, who has at least one sack in five of seven outings, could snap the drought. --Len Pasquarelli, The Sports Xchange
DT Ndamukong Suh was named NFL Rookie of the Month for October. His 6.5 sacks leads all rookies. He also had an interception and returned a fumble for a touchdown.
I'd love to see him win NFL Rookie of the Year over Bradford.
