EKY in the south only makes sense when you figure that Kentucky considers itself a "southern state." They'd be a lot closer to Huntington and the Ohio teams.
CVD must have sold Huntington.

I think Van Dyke owned both Huntington and EKY. He probably sold them to recoup some of his losses.

EKY has been sold long ago (CVD never owned more than 50% of it). I do not know if Huntington has.

Rome and WPA will be playing as travel teams. Huntington is not sure to play in 2012 (will know this week). Otherwise, the list is pretty good right now.

Found this board looking for info--joined after I saw this blurb on the Hammer page:
So it looks like they're gonna at least try to move forward. It still lists Cecil as owner of the Hammer, while Rich Kranz is listed for the Drillers. This may be a sign of each team's relative financial strength though: ideally you would keep those two together (only a couple hours between Huntington and Pikeville), but perhaps only Pikeville would be able to financially deal with Florida road trips?
