Indoor pro football league considers Shelbyville

Could Calsonic Arena soon be home to a professional football team?
The arena is known for hosting horse shows and concerts along with many other events, including high school football practice from time to time, but I've come across some information that indicates it could possibly host a new indoor football franchise.
The Ultimate Indoor Football League could have an interest in starting a new franchise in Shelbyville.
The league's president and co-founder, Andrew Haines, told me Thursday morning that there is a possibility of adding a team in this area to be in the league's Southern Division.
The league runs from March to June with seven home games. Single game ticket prices start at $7 with season tickets starting at $35.
A proposal is being prepared for the CEO and board of directors of the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration for consideration to rent the facilities for an expansion team to play in Shelbyville in 2012.
I'm kind of intrigued with the idea and I think that if the team drafted players with ties to teams from college conferences located in the south like the SEC, SunBelt and OVC, it could be very successful.
Indoor football is very fast-paced, entertaining and exciting. The rosters are small and most players play on both sides of the ball.
The prices seem to be reasonable and if the team is marketed well they could draw fans from Middle Tennessee as well as Southern Alabama.
Haines plans on visiting the community as well as Calsonic Arena in the new future.
