Port Huron should take this against a road-only team that isn't paying it's players, even with a guy who's not played QB in awhile. If not, they're in serious trouble this season.
I hope they have no issues with getting their turf in. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to put it in for the first time.

Predators prepare for their first game

Jason Lovelock is smiling a lot more these days.
The Port Huron Predators coach and general manger has watched his team come together in time for Saturday's game against the Indianapolis Enforcers at 7 p.m. at McMorran Arena.
"We had an awesome practice (Wednesday night)," Lovelock said. "Everyone was moving around, the big boys were hitting and getting their footwork together.
"We worked on some goal line. Everything is coming together at this point."
The Predators had a walkthrough practice Thursday night and will be off today as their turf is installed at McMorran Arena.
The team does have one major question mark as they go through their final preparations for Saturday's game.
Their starting quarterback, Damon Dowdell of Michigan State University, is not expected to play because of personal reasons.
His backup, Port Huron High graduate Jordan Brown, recently quit the team, which forced the Predators to go out and find someone to fill in for Dowdell for at least a game.
Enter Jim Roth, a three-year veteran of indoor football, who played receiver for the Port Huron Pirates in 2007 before going on to play receiver for the Saginaw Sting for two years.
"He's going to be a solid backup for us," Lovelock said. "He knows the game. He's doing real well. He knows the offense and he's a great athlete. He has a great arm."
Roth, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 195 pounds, said it hasn't taken him long to get back up to speed, even though he's only had a week of practice.
"You never really lose it," he said. "I've been in the same system three years. I'm familiar with the offense. As for game shape, we'll see on Saturday."
While the offense comes together, Lovelock has continued to work on the Predators defense.
"We've added more defensive coverages," he said. "We have smart, athletic defensive backs. We are going to run some man and some zone coverages to bait the quarterback into bad throws.
"We're going to do a lot of different things, but we aren't going to show everything."
