Turfcats go down big, just as expected. Louisiana revenges only slipup in a league they weren't taking seriously. Now they're rolling all the way through the title game. Only question is who will make the title game opposite of them, Austin or Acadiana?

Game was closer than the score. SIFL is turning into a nice little league.

Great league office personnel (you know who I mean), great existing team in Louisiana (who slipped up by not taking a game seriously, just like their players said), and three expansion teams doing great in their first year (Acadiana, Austin, and Houma). Texas is an utter mess, the league didn't have enough time to get started properly so the other team that was going to join couldn't get ready in time and dropped out. The league brought in a travel only team which dropped out after one game, games were cancelled as a result, so the league brought in a semi-pro team to replace the travel only team, ugh. Austin wouldn't play a scheduled game in Texas due to safety concerns even though the league previously verified it as safe to play, where the fault lies there has to end with the league in the end, otherwise Austin would've received a forfeit. Those are the highlights only. There is good and bad in this league, the bad mostly comes from rushing the league into existence too early. When games get cancelled and travel teams are brought in, the precedent is set and history has proven such things will continue to happen in following years (ref: NIFL, CIFL/GLIFL, AIFL/AIFA, and APFL). The biggest thing the SIFL needs to correct for next year is having as stable of franchises as possible, ones that will last the season once committed. No travel only teams, the games always blow and the teams end up quiting before the end of the season. This could be a good league, but it has a long way to go to prove it and next year will be the big test to see if they've learned from their mistakes, I for one hope they will. If they don't, then Phydeaux was right and it'll end up as another APFL, with Louisiana as Kansas.
