Ice Add Offensive and Defensive Standouts
Fort Collins, CO—The Colorado Ice Professional Indoor Football team is proud to announce the signings of two new players to the Ice organization. Larrone Moore (#10) and Antoine Carter (#44) will be joining the roster for the remainder of the 2012 season.
Moore, a 6’1”, 190 lb wide receiver from Delaware State University, was rated as the 88th best wide receiver prospect in the 2011 NFL draft class. Moore was well known at Delaware State because of his blazing speed (4.36 second - forty yard dash) and big play ability. His athleticism was noticed by the NFL and he was picked up as a free agent by the Indianapolis Colts following his senior season. During his time at DSU, Moore played in 43 games, accumulating 102 receptions, 1,236 receiving yards, 5 receiving touchdowns, 11 rushes for 68 rushing yards, and 60 kickoff returns for 1,544 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Along with his football skills, Moore was one of the top performers on Delaware State’s track team, setting numerous records and qualifying in numerous events. Moore posted a personal best during his sophomore season in the 100-meter dash (10.39) and 200-meter dash (20.75), catapulting himself into conversations as one of the nation’s fastest football players.
Carter is a 6’4”, 260 lb defensive end from Auburn University and was rated as the 51st best defensive end prospect in the 2011 NFL draft class. Carter was one of the most dominate players during Auburn’s 2010-2011 National Championship season. He served as a main cog on the defensive front that shut down the high flying Oregon attack. During his time at Auburn, Carter played in 46 games, accumulating 95 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, 3 pass break ups, 2 forced fumbles, and 35 quarterback hurries.
Carter’s knack for applying constant pressure on opposing quarterbacks helped lead Auburn to a 14-0 record through one of the toughest conferences in the nation, eventually leading to a 22-19 National Championship win over Oregon. In his senior season alone, Carter accumulated 33 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, 2 pass break ups, 2 forced fumbles, and 17 quarterback hurries. Carter will be the third player to join the Ice a year after winning a BCS National Championship (Eryk Anders and Tyrone King of Alabama are the other two).
