The LFL deserves to be highlighted over any of the indoor leagues, especially the low rent AIF. While the LFL has many things it needs to correct along with the indoor leagues, they at least have gotten their name out to the press and have a major cable network covering their games.

Professional football has arrived in the Inland Empire. It’s just not the league you may have expected.
The Lingerie Football League, a women’s 7-on-7 tackle football league which was created in 2009, has brought the Los Angeles Temptation team to Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.
The Temptation has already gained one victory at its new home arena, and will be playing its next contest against the Chicago Bliss on Thursday, Jan. 19.
One of the players on the Temptation is Ogom Chijindu, a wide receiver and safety who lives in Fontana. The team also has a couple of other competitors who are from the Inland Empire, including the quarterback, Ashley Salerno of Chino Hills.
The Temptation won the LFL championship the first two years, and the local team will be aiming for a three-peat when the conference playoffs begin Jan. 29 at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Many of the league’s games can be seen on MTV2.
For more information about the league, visit www.lflus.com/latemptation.
AND THERE IS more football (the standard male variety) coming to our area: A new American Indoor Football team, the Ontario Warriors, will be playing at Citizens Business Bank Arena starting in March.
The AIF is set up as a national league but will be based on regional play within each division. Teams will make up a West Coast and East Coast division.
The mission of American Indoor Football is to provide fast paced, fan-friendly professional football at affordable prices. The Ontario Warriors will play 12 regular games, six games at home, in their regular season.
The team will be made up of top players from major colleges. The top 3-5 percent of college Division 1 and 2 players are expected to be here for tryouts starting in January.
Information about season tickets is available at www.ontwarriors.com or by calling (888) 519-0211.
