www.lmtonline.com/articles/2012/06/04/front/sports/doc4fcd6b0e29cbb204075025.txtThe Laredo Rattlesnakes’ prospects of making the Lone Star Football League playoffs — and perhaps winning a league title — may be considerably higher with the development of the departure of the Houston Stallions, the league’s undefeated first place team, from competition. Laredo president Chad Dittman confirmed Monday that Houston (7-0) may be leaving the LSFL within the next few days, though nothing is set in stone. A statement released by the Abilene Ruff Riders claims “the Houston Stallions organization will not be completing the season for the 2012 year. Due to the recent resignation of the General Manager and staff the organization has been put in a financial and operational bind that significantly deteriorates the ability for the team to continue play without jeopardizing the long term future of the organization.” Dittman suggested that there still was a possibility Houston will finish the season. Numerous telephone calls, voicemails and e-mails sent to LSFL commissioner Darlene Jones went unreturned. “To be honest, right now we just don’t have any final answers,” Dittman said. “We don’t have exact details. It’s pretty frustrating for me. There are changes one moment to the next.”
