If I was going to rank the leagues which I consider to be the top, based solely on this season to date, I'd go with:
1. IFL - In terms of stability of teams, quality of teams, and quantity of teams, all 16 have been top-notch and it has made for an enjoyable season. Benizio leaving for Allen during the season is definitely a black eye and shouldn't have been allowed. Allen being allowed to get around the salary cap to sign Terrell Owens shouldn't have been allowed either.
2. PIFL - In terms of stability of teams, quality of teams, and quantity of teams, all 6 have been great in the league's first season.
3. LSFL - In terms of stability of teams, quality of teams, and quantity of teams, 6 of 7 have been great in the league's first season. Houston folding due to insufficient funds is the one black mark so far, but the league did the right thing in folding the team and not bringing in replacements. I don't agree with the league removing them from the standings and also erasing the losses other teams suffered at their hands in the standings though. Reorganizing the schedule is fine, but why erase their history, it is what it is.
The bottom 4 are hard to rank as they all have major issues, but here goes:
4. APFL - In terms of stability of teams, quality of teams, and quantity of teams, 5 out of 8 have been good so far. The league isn't ran very professionally at all. 3 teams folded due to financial issues.
5. CIFL - In terms of stability of teams, quality of teams, and quantity of teams, 1 out of 6 were good. The league wasn't ran very professionally at all. 5 teams had financial issues. 1 team went from full-time member to travel-only status.
6. UIFL - In terms of stability of teams, quality of teams, and quantity of teams, 5 out of 11 have been good so far. 1 team (a travel-only team) never started and folded before the season (Huntington). 4 more teams folded during the season (2 of those being travel-only teams). 5 teams had replacements play in their place, with some resulting in triple digit blowouts. 1 team that hasn't folded is in dire financial difficulties. The league is the second worst league as far as professionalism goes, ranking only above the AIF.
7. AIF - In terms of stability of teams, quality of teams, and quantity of teams, 2 out of 12 have been good so far. 1 team folded before the season started and was replaced by a travel-only team. 4 teams folded during the season. 1 team left the league due to disagreements over the league not fulfilling their financial and travel obligations. 4 travel-only teams were left in limbo because all the other teams around them folded. 1 team became a travel-only team at the end when they couldn't pay their arena. This is basically a scam league.

I like ranking but I would rank this way:
1.PIFL- A new league but they have teams with a long history of being stable. 2. IFL- The last three years they have problem with teams folding and bad press 3. LSFL- started season with 8 teams lost one at begining and their top team five weeks before the playoffs. 4. thur 7- I agree

That is true about the LSFL, they did lose Frisco a few months before the season and had to redo their schedule. Once again, I like that they just plain got rid of them and redid their schedule instead of trying to keep it going with smoke and mirrors like some other leagues do (i.e. replacements teams, travel-only teams, etc.).

You mean Mesquite, not Frisco, right?

They were not associated with the Frisco Thunder though, just a new team that was looking to start in Frisco. They could not secure a lease however, so they moved across town to Mesquite to an arena that would deal with them, but in the end the lack of funds did them in.

They guy who started the Frisco/Mesquite team used to work for the Wranglers with Jim Smith than he fired. He was looking for backing for both teams. He was going to be the GM but he got fired from Mesquite team for lied about sponsors and the head coach.

Well looks like the IFL is the only league not to have a forfit game in 2012.
