Such buffoonery. How can ANYONE take this joke of a league serious when the owner of the league goes in and plays for the Florida Tarpons in a game against a totally overmatched semi-pro team in the Palm Beach Phantoms??? The same Palm Beach Phantoms that lost 0-100 at Lakeland last week. Haines scored a TD at RB against them last night. Now that replay, I WANT TO SEE.
I've seen enough, I asked my buddy President Obama to step in and clean up Indoor Football. Neidermeyer - Dead. Haines - Dead. Morris - Dead. Hager - Dead. Shiver - Dead. Adams - Dead. Weiner - Dead. Terry - Dead. CF4L - Dead. Oh wait, scratch that last one, got carried away there.

Tarpons get easy win in regular-season finale

ESTERO — The Florida Tarpons capped a perfect regular season in style Saturday night by scoring on every possession of the game and racking up their highest point total of the season.
Behind nine touchdown passes from quarterback Chris Wallace, the Tarpons lit up the West Palm Beach Phantoms 91-18 in the regular-season finale in front of 5,200 fans at Germain Arena.
“We’re not done. I’ve been here before and I know what we have ahead of us,” Wallace said. “It’s not about the regular season. You don’t win the ring off of the regular season. I know people will keep saying we haven’t played anybody, but all that’s going to change in the next couple weeks.”
Next up for the Tarpons are the Ultimate Indoor Football League playoffs. Florida (11-0) will host the UIFL Southern Conference championship game on June 25 at 7:30 p.m. against the winner of the first-round game between the Lakeland Raiders and the Eastern Kentucky Drillers.
“Now it’s win or go home,” Tarpons coach Michael Taylor said. “We did a lot of good things during the regular season, but we’re glad it’s over with. We have a lot of guys who have played 10 or 11 years professionally and haven’t won a championship, so they’re telling our younger guys how hard it’s going to be to win one.”
It became clear very early Saturday night that the Phantoms weren’t going to pose much of a challenge. Terrance Jones returned two kickoffs for touchdowns in the opening quarter and Wallace threw for two scores as the Tarpons led 31-6 after one.
Wallace and his receiving corps continued connecting on big play after big play in the second and third. Wideout Chris McKinney pulled down touchdown catches of 27 and 30 and Carlos Singleton got in on the act with a 30-yard score. By the end of the third Florida led 59-12.
The Tarpons were originally scheduled to play the now defunct Western, Pa. Sting, so Florida brought in West Palm Beach, which is a semi-pro outdoor team.
Taylor said he would have rather have not played the game.
“With games like this you’re always worried about getting out of here without injuries,” Taylor said. “I’m glad we got through it, and we have a bye week, so we’ll try to get ready for the games that matter.”
It was the fourth time this season that Wallace threw for at least seven scores in a game. He finishes the regular season with 51 touchdown passes despite not playing for the Tarpons until the fourth game.
“For me, it’s not about stats, or being 11-0, or anything like that,” Wallace said. “My game is to win, and now the real season starts.”
Donald Fusilier hauled in three scores, finishing the regular season with a league-leading 28 touchdowns.
Up 79-18 with under a minute to play, the Tarpons kept piling it on. The owner of the team, Andrew Haines, suited up for the game and played on the kickoff team throughout. With 43 seconds left in the game, Florida put Haines in at running back and he ran in a 10-yard touchdown.
