GAME 24 PREVIEW | GREEN BAY CHILL AT LAS VEGAS SIN
By: Jim Wallin (LFL360.com)
The Green Bay Chill try to end their regular season on a high note as the expansion franchise eyes .500 on a trip to Las Vegas, while the host Sin attempt to clinch the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference as well as a perfect regular season record.
Green Bay, who is led by QB Anne ‘Showtime’ Erler on offense, is attempting to end the season on a high, especially after narrowly defeating the Chicago Bliss for the franchise’s first-ever win. Head Coach Gilbert Brown and staff are looking to Erler, WR Katie Zellner, WR Jessica Peyton and RB Melissa De Jesus to in many ways replicate their recent success while hard-hitting defensive-back Leslie Bowman leads a blue collar defense who many within the organization hope has made great strides in their inaugural season to put the team in a position to secure yet another road win.
The Las Vegas Sin have locked up a playoff berth and now eye a perfect season as the first-year team has methodically defeated three well-established franchises, in large part thanks to strong coaching and strong play in QB Nikki Johnson, WR Cassandra Strickland, WR Carrie Walters, RB Tracee Thomas and TE Sunshine Misa-Uli.
On defense, 2010 All-Fantasy selection Tamica Estrella joins Uli and Walters to form a more-than formidable force, who has so far made the plays that have mattered and have vaulted head coach Dion Lee’s team to only two wins from a what once seemed like an improbable run to a Lingerie Bowl Championship.
VENUE: ORLEANS ARENA – LAS VEGAS, NV (INDOORS – ARTIFICIAL SURFACE)
KICKOFF: 8:00 p.m. PT
