They were part of the arena league. These defunct teams were indoor leagues. The AFL made it abundantly clear that they did not associate with the indoor leagues and did their best to destroy them. This site's focus is on indoor football. Arenafan.com provides the best coverage for the AFL and AF2.

The AFL needs to respect the other indoor league's and the indoor league's need to remember that if it wasn't for arena football there would not be indoor football today. They need to kiss and make up. ;D ajp87 has been showing indoor teams that are in each state and I had a idea that every year all indoor teams from what ever leagues in each state should have a tournament to see who the biggest dog on the block is. you can see on arenafootball.com message boards we was talking about the 4 teams in iowa having a tournament, my idea was to have the seeding based on win% from each teams seasons and the teams have to play the home teams rules from what ever league. I think those people who only watch outdoor football will find this interesting and would check it out. And that means all the indoor leagues would keep on getting more and more fans.

If the AFL kisses my *** first, then I'll be nice to them (but won't kiss back). As far as cooperation between leagues, it rarely happens (and when it does, it doesn't last long). The downfall of that can be most attributed to egos and the financial disparity between certain leagues.

We would all like tournaments of some sort, but unfortunately that will never happen.
