Iowa is 5-1 (0-1 out of league), Kansas is 6-2.
Iowa has three games left (two wins by forfeit, with the Mustangs filling the home date), Kansas has two games left (one win by forfeit).
Iowa at worst is 7-2, Kansas at worst is 7-3.
Iowa at best is 8-1, Kansas at best is 8-2 if both teams win out like one would generally expect (watch out for Springfield though). This would mean Iowa has the best winning percentage in the APFL AND two wins over Kansas.
So, doing a little math here...Iowa needs to beat Springfield at home because if Iowa is 7-2 and Kansas is 8-2, well, Kansas does have an argument for best record in the APFL even though their two losses have come at the hands of the Blackhawks.
Long story short...the boys in Black and Gold need to refocus and take care of business on the field these final two games if they want to be sure the championship game is played in Council Bluffs.

So they'll both be 8-2, and it won't take much for Kansas to schedule one more home game against a slappy to put them at 9-2. Problem solved. Title game in Topeka.

Well, what you're not getting is that this is the APFL, and until PROVEN differently, they don't get a pass. We'll believe it when we see it. We have another month to find out.

Yes, I do. You missed the Mid-Missouri loss. They'd both be 8-2 without Kansas scheduling another game to solve any issues that might come up with the teams being tied record-wise. The APFL needs to prove it's different. All you've told me on here and privately is that "Iowa won't play a game in Kansas." That's fine, the Koyotes have already proven they don't mind forfeit championships.
