feel sorry for the bandit fans! APFL is a lesser product with a sprinkle of semi pro teams and two "real teams" Topeka and Iowa. it won't be like the Texas teams that join the SIFL it will be more like exhibition ball with few real games. I know bandit fans are used to good comp and standards. my town used to have a APFL team and that team was OK for APFL and when they joined the IFL they only won 2 games and now they are much better and competitive in the IFL. I hope to see the bandits back to IFL

feel sorry for the bandit fans! APFL is a lesser product with a sprinkle of semi pro teams and two "real teams" Topeka and Iowa. Mid-Mo and Springfield were both very competitive, including a Springfield team that had many former Wichita players on their roster. Just because a team doesn't pay their players doesn't mean they don't have some talent on roster. That Mid-Missouri organization is better than many teams (including Topeka, who you called "real").

I did not mention pay as a criteria for "real team"
one more time :with 5 teams only 1-3 teams will be for real the rest will falter.
by that simple logic ratio/ 32 teams in IFL will have 6-24 "real teams" and the rest will falter.
I am not even evaluating one league vs. another...the same will apply to any league (any sport) example MLB has 6 teams with a legit shot at the title and 6- 10 middle contenders. the rest are by the wayside.
I stand by my first statement that "It sucks for bandit fan" only 1-2 constant conpetitive APFL teams vs. 6-24 in a bigger league....

Agree it sucks but thats because we are use to the IFL talent level. And with as tight as Bob is with money Im sure we will be right at the bottom in this league to.

Yeah, Troy Travis played in the APFL one week, and for the Bandits the next.

Yeah, Troy Travis played in the APFL one week, and for the Bandits the next. the Blackhawks are still mad about that.

Why are they mad about it? He played for the Nebraska Bears (one season and done in the APFL), not them. The Blackhawks won, but it was a tight contest thanks to Travis. That was a rare heckling game from me as well...I was heckling him pretty good in the front row near the entrance to the field where vehicles come in. He ended up throwing a couple of TDs near me and one was a scramble thrown for a TD right in front of me. He flexed his arms, then headed for the bench and I laughed since it was a good play. I was sitting with a bunch of Beef fans who also decided to come (rare for an APFL game back then) since Travis was playing.
I saw Travis play for Sioux City after that and he didn't have as big an influence for the Bandits, but played ok for most of the game before tiring out near the end. Lets face it, he was kind of heavy that year and it wasn't as much muscle as it had been in the past.

Troy Travis played for the Blackhawks and left them in the lurch going to SC.
They had to play Chris Moore at QB down in Topeka.

Oh right, I'm mixing up my years. He played for the Bears in 2004 against the 'Hawks, then played for the 'Hawks in 2005 and then Sioux City.
They didn't need Travis anyway, he was mediocre (at best) at that time.
