Using Katy as reference...over/under on attendance around 500. Interesting, being that the Ruff Riders have already actually sold over twice that many season tickets before the first game has kicked off, which doesn't even represent season tickets included as part of sponsorship packages, group sales, etc. Look Josh, we get it. Everyone gets it. You don't like the IFL. Just get over it and move on. Your constant b!tching and belittlement of the IFL got old a long time ago. Besides, the game is in Odessa.

What can we expect out of this exhibition game? Since They play each other for real the following week will they play all out or use a downsized play book and hold some things back for the real game?
Don't forget to order the Beer truck for the 6th, Bubba will be thirsty.

Fairbanks and Alaska did the same thing. 2 weeks ago they played an exhibition which Fairbanks won, then this past weekend they played for real and Fairbanks won again. In the exhibition both teams played their starters initially, then went to backups. I imagine the same will happen here, just like in the NFL and college. Expect to see the starters initially and a few things held back for the following week.

I don't think many of us like exit's constant bashing of the IFL, but most of it is deserved, and you know it, plus he seems to know more about the league than even you... sad.

If the UIF were any better than the garbage we've seen for years...and it's worse than it was last year...I wouldn't be bashing it.
But, like I just said, it's been a relatively large step backwards. So it appears we're just going to keep going around and around with it.

I gave up on the league idea. I don't hide my feelings about the league nor do I hide behind a keyboard. everyone here knows where to find me on game day The goos news is that the IFL has set it's own bar so freaking low they ca only get better. But they must be smart about like things like expansion. Prop up the regions where you already have a footprint. work with teams in that footprint if they want to join. *ahem Wyoming* not expant (spelled wrong on purpose) to places like San Diego, or wherever else that was listed in the stupid poll on the website before the update.

Wyoming doesn't want to join the UIF. If it was offered to them for free, I'd bet money they'd still decline the invite.

The IFL may not be what we all want it to be, but it is still the best indoor league out there. Many prop up the early days of the NIFL as the glory years of indoor history, but the truth on that is they're looking through rose colored glasses at that as well just because a league had never gone that wide before. They seem to forget the bad stuff altogether. It's easy to bash on the current leagues, we all do, but that doesn't change the fact that all leagues (past and present) have needed improvement (some more than others). The IFL is the best thing going right now and will be for some time I think. Can it do better, of course...and we all want it to and pointing out weaknesses (essentially complaining) as fans (or critics) is a tool to get changes happening sometimes. The league's in the end will do as they please and their main goal is to make money. If they get successful enough, then improvements (stuff that's "good for the entire sport") start to happen. If the money isn't flowing as they want, a lot of the "good for the sport" stuff gets thrown aside. It's not a perfect world and the NFL isn't perfect either. Keep complaining and complimenting and everything else, but don't get so caught up in one particular facet that you become so obsessed by it that you don't enjoy the games. Be critical, but constructive as well. I could go on, but I'm starting to sound like a preacher...off the soapbox.
