Beef win, and coach prolly gets thrown out for cussing the officials out for not knowing the rules

why would officials (both onfield and off) worry about small things such as rules?

just wait, missed flags, left and right, i know the officials in omaha call the games at least mostly according to the rules, like illegal defense, offsides on the receivers, from i what i saw in the abilene/odessa game, they do not, mabey wont get tossed, but im sure a sideline warning or 2 will get dropped on both teams, just a hunch

Is it the teams who supply the Refs?

I thought so, but i may be mistaken, it seems we have the same crew in sioux city for over half the games?

Well I think to make "fair" or atleast fairer than it is now each team supplys 1 line judge and then one gets the Back and the other gets the other one I dont know what the other one is called. But also they could do what SIFL did i guess.

Yeah, the SIFL's model there makes more sense. I believe that's what the CIFL does as well.

Game Notes for Omaha tonight:
Omaha Beef (1-2)
-RB RJ Rollins is 5 yards away from becoming Omaha's all-time leading rusher. Keep an eye (if you're watching on the B2 Networks) on what comes about when RJ takes the ball to celebrate the record. New rule in the IFL this season is that visiting teams can't take balls with them, but Omaha talked to Abilene before hand and hopefully you don't see any flags flying after the run.
-Expect Cortney Grixby to make his first start as a member of the Beef at CB. He returned kicks @sf, didn't make the trip to Billings but is here and ready to go tonight. Kyle Whitehurst will likely move from CB to S for the majority of the night.
-Omaha looks ready to go. After playing pretty well for extended stretches @sf and @billings and ending up with two losses, I thought you could see team moral go one of two ways. An hour and a half out, I think it's pretty clear that the coaching staff has them ready to roll.
-News of the day has to be Chad Schmigel making his 2nd start of his Beef career, first of the season. James McNear couldn't make the trip due to a family emergency and it's Schmigel who gets the call. A really good offensive line, an Abilene team who didn't record a sack, and the return of OJ Simpson means Schmigel should have time to throw and targets to throw too. Outdoor QBs who come indoors traditionally struggle early, but the fact that Schmigel has been around for 2 years should play to his advantage.
-OJ Simpson makes his Omaha Beef debut tonight. Three game suspension (league mandated after team switch) is over, and coaching staff says he has been itching to go and looks good in practice. He has experience catching footballs from rookie QBs (Kapanui in SC) and should be one of the better WRs in the league.
-20 man roster for Omaha tonight, which shouldn't make much of a difference if CS stays upright. Only difference is the lack of a backup QB. If he goes down, look for Burrell or Simpson to take snaps. Both have limited experience behind center.
-Omaha has given up 2 200 yard games through the air in three games, Carter threw for over 240 in his IFL debut last week. Omaha's secondary will be on alert.
Roster Shakeup From Last Week
Out- Javon Bell (heel) Ryan Bowers (released) James McNear (personal)
In- OJ Simpson
PROJECTED STARTERS
OMAHA BEEF (1-2) QB - Chad Schmeigl RB - RJ Rollins WR - OJ Simpson WR - Alan Burrell WR - Mike Jones OL - Kimani Jones OL - James Poytner OL - Mike Erickson
CB - Henry Talley CB - Cortney Grixby S - Kyle Whitehurst S - Brent Hafford LB - Spetlar Tonga DE - Dallas Flynn DT - Ramon Richardson DE - Chris Bradford

Great feed from Abilene tonight, with Matt Santamaria announcing.
Abilene's first play was a long Touchdown pass from Quincy Carter to the corner of the end zone to put Abilene up 7-0
Omaha's first play was a defected pass (deflected high up) about 10 yards down the field that OJ Simpson (not the intended receiver) was able to corral and he took it to the left side near the wall and went around all the Abilene defenders and into the end zone.
Abilene 7, Omaha 7

OJ Simpson looked fast as h*ll on that touchdown.

The camera on the feed is out of the corner of the end zone, makes it hard to see details like yard marks and player numbers on the far side of the field. Low ceiling in the place.
