Its been a couple of days since everything has happenned and some things are very clear. First this was a move to emasculate Souix Falls by the Dittman-Benizio-"FIDO" power block. Its also obvious the IFL doesn't care about Souix Falls if they stay or go. Some choices won't be made until the end of the season but the Storm cannot stay in the IFL. And yes every alphabet soup league is after them. So I see three options:
1) The old UIF is reformed. Unlikely though.
2) Souix Falls, Bloomington and 2 other IFL(UIF) teams move to the af2. I know some of you don't like this but for the "average" fan would it be good or bad? Not the "know it all goobers" here bt those that go for a game for entertainment. One more thing, the af2 is much cheaper now that the AFL is "suspended".
3) Souix Falls folds. Bad for everyone but the alphabet soup leagues will all bid to put a team in that arena.
Souix Falls going to the CIFL or the AIFA is not even close to a reality as I see it so I did not put t as a viable option.
3) Those teams go to the CIFL

Mmm, AIFA's probably more viable than one would think, believe it or not. They're certainly (right now) the strongest of the *indoor* leagues.
But yes, the AF2 being a lot more inexpensive just might be the proper choice at this point.

I'm not sold on that whole interpretation. It'd help to know which way the executive committee voted. We know one abstained (who?), one voted for the Storm (who?), Steen was for the Storm but didn't get a vote, and three voted for crippling the Storm (who?). Who pushed it to that level to begin with?...I don't believe it was the league front office. A Texas team?, I don't know, I wouldn't put it past other teams (even former UIFA teams).
Sioux Falls may depart after the season, or they could still stay, or fold...I still see all three as an option. To stay though, the IFL would have to make changes, starting with a new commish.
The AIFA the best league? LOL, yeah, don't see it. Was funny though.
If the AFL doesn't come back, maybe the AF2 would change some of their rules to mimick the indoor style, as far as being closer to the outdoor game ala a "real" running game and less restrictive defensive rules...but I doubt it. I don't see Sioux Falls joining them in their current configuration, but stranger things have happened.
My guesses, in order, would be: 1. Sioux Falls stays in redone IFL. 2. IFL splits into different leagues and Sioux Falls goes with the former UIFA teams. 3. Sioux Falls joins AF2. 4. Sioux Falls folds. 5. Sioux Falls joins SIFL (Sioux City goes too).

The af2 will not make any major changes to the game play. It has nothing to do with the AFL however.
Unfortunatly I do not see a change in the commish. There are still things that is not being leaked out "yet". Once leaked then some other choices can be made by other teams as the direction they will take in 2010. But until then it would be fun to see what everyone thinks what the storm will do in 2010.

agreed. Besides we'd all rather see them disband than join the deuche, as we tend to like real football around here as opposed to af2 ball. ... not that there's anything wrong with it.~Jerry Seinfeld~
