Isn't Carter the starting QB for Abilene? Yes he is. And if he "keeps it together" through this season, he is first in line for the starting QB spot with the Miami Dolphins, or so I've been told. Come on, Brandon. Yeah, Chad Pennington's expendable after he led the Dolphins to a division title. The Dolphins drafted Pat White (West Virginia) in the second round Saturday. Last year, the Dolphins took a QB (Chad Henne) in the second round. They let go another second rounder, John Beck, this week. Pennington's the starter for today, and it's obvious they want to develope both White and Henne. Tell me where a 31-year old quarterback who hasn't taken an NFL snap since 2004 fits in with this scenario. Brandon, I'd love to see it happen for Quincy's sake and the sport's sake, but come on ...

I don't disagree with you Dan. That's why I included the "...or so I've been told" part.

What else does he need to do? he has paid his punishment and then some! Let him be let him try to pull his life back together.. Are you guys going to bow to those Insane MOFO's from PETA? its ok for them to bomb testing clinics and injure people But OHHHH My god vick is the worst kinda criminal> Give me a break!

Brandon, oh Brandon ...
Surely by now you've learned you can't believe half of what of you hear when it comes to indoor football.
Then again, you're an owner, so you probably can't believe half of what you're saying ...
And I need to stop calling you Shirley ...
Good job with Abeline this season ... And great hire in El Paso with Dart.

He has been punished - I don't feel sorry at all for what he lost - and I don't think he should be necessarily punished any further in most respects. But I do think that NFL players should be held to a higher standard. Get rid of the guys with the DUIs too - that's not a problem for me either. As someone who has worked in several jobs where you are held to a higher moral standard, and seen your every day average person lose a job as a result of a conviction of some sort, why should an NFL player be any different? And it has nothing to do with White America
Back on the subject - I just don't see Vick playing AF2 if he is reinstated in the NFL, I'm sure there will be someone willing to take the chance on him.

I fail to see what color has to do with it. Felons are felons. 2. indeed, even he deserves a chance to pull his life together & not be a sideshow curiosity 3. This thread is actually about a low grade stunt the deuche is pulling. Not radical extremists like mad bombers. 4. there are talented players standing in rows wishing they coulld get an opportunity 1/10th as good as the opportunity Vick chose to piss away. 5. I belong to PETA People Eating Tasty Animals. ;D

now that we've had a geometry lesson let's get back to the embarrasng, bush league, sideshow tactics of the dueche and one of their winless teams.
Obviously, realizing an error in good judgement was made, as the pigSter pointed out. The story has been removed which means the rather unfavorable publicity and backlash made those in charge reconsider and do the right thing.
That demonstrates clearly the advantage of having a commisioner who knows what he is doing and does not talk down to fans.
