El Paso was officially announced as joining the IFL today, bringing the total number of teams that will play in 2009 to 24 teams.
I haven't heard if this it or if there is more to come, so we'll have to wait and see.
Start thinking of nicknames for the El Paso team now, or go to the El Paso team forum to post your suggestions.

Yeah, the IFL started saying that when they after-the-fact figured out many of these ownership groups stink. Too hasty to try and get rid of other leagues...that didn't work for the AF2, either, and it appears the IFL's work is off to a shaky start in that regard.

We'll see what happens in the next few months. I don't know about you, but my money's on Saginaw playing in the IFL.

They could play, sure. Not sure what the IFL has in store to ensure players, sponsors, web hosts, etc etc etc get paid for anything, but that'll probably be tested, too. Which is good, get the kinks out early.
