losing to Billings in round 1 of the NIFL playoffs oh so many years ago at home in a close one. (Billings went on to lose to Ohio Valley in the championship game).
I hate you Albert Higgs.

Are you sure it wasn't went the Beef blanked the Capitols, 50-something to 0? BTW, Billings was going easy on the Caps that year, the Caps didn't have a chance...kind of like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football when Lucy's holding it. ;D Joking.

at that point (50-0) things were looking pretty bleek. We had no shot, and then you guys abandoned us and created the UIF.
Thanks.

at that point (50-0) things were looking pretty bleek. We had no shot, and then you guys abandoned us and created the UIF. Thanks. Didn't you get the invite?...we mailed it way ahead of time. Who was answering your mail, Bruce?...he was never any good with RSVPs. I remember one time, we were having a costumed ball and the nut showed up in a dog costume with Carolyn holding his leash...and he didn't RSVP so he had to sit next to Rex in the kitchen...what a loon.Seriously though, would you have invited the Capitols at that point? Be honest. They were three quarters of the way down the gutter heading into 2005. The UIF didn't end the Capitols, the NIFL did. Can you really blame the teams leaving for the UIF, they bluffed about leaving in 2004 and when it was called they backed down (they begrudgingly left in 2005 when things didn't get better). Shiver had many opportunities to play nicely and what did she do with them? The Intense teams couldn't take it either. What if the UIF teams had stayed?...do you really think that would've helped the Capitols hang on longer?...or the NIFL? The NIFL was a sinking ship thanks to it's tyrant of a captain named Shiver.

What's the biggest, most painful loss that your favorite team endured? -Scout The latest loss in the playoffs for the Beef. Each year's playoff loss gets more and more heartbreaking. Hope is fading. It's getting dark.....cough, cough.....Rosebud.....

For me it has to be last years lost to Billings in the championship game. I would have loved to see some of the old veterans leave with a successful "season of redemption".
