In an effort to distance himself from the Toronto Triumph player mass exodus of a couple weeks ago, Commissioner Mortaza said during his radio show a week ago that his office doesn't get involved in team matters.
The truth however is that he runs the league from top to bottom. Teams are owned by the league, but there are investors. The article below clearly states how involved he is since his office is the one to fire the assistant coach (not the team).
Typical minor league bs...lol...moving on.

LFL RELEASES LAS VEGAS SIN ASSISTANT COACH ANTHONY BARTLEY
11/6/11
LAS VEGAS (LFL360.com) — LFL Commissioner Mitchell Mortaza’s office has released Las Vegas Sin assistant coach Anthony Bartley, effective immediately. Bartley has been released due to multiple occasions of disrespect toward league officials as well as violations of league policy. Bartley wore a Nike play-calling sleeve during Friday night’s game which is in direct violation of league policy as Cutters is the official gameday glove and play-calling sleeve of the LFL.
If this violation was an isolated incident, many times the violation would have resulted in a procedural warning issued from the league. However, the dismissal was a result of a track record of league policy violations by the Las Vegas assistant coach.
Official Statement:
“We at the LFL stress that all interaction amongst players, coaches and league officials be based around a fundamental respect for one another as well as league policy. Mr. Bartley unfortunately not only purposely violated league policy but compounded the situation with blatant disrespect toward league officials.
We wish Mr. Bartley nothing but the absolute best in his future endeavors.”
