Pulled the following from the Mid-Mo Facebook page... here we go with another one...
Due to some internal organization problems the Cheyenne Warriors have canceled this weeks game. The Outlaws will get an unscheduled week off and be back in action on June 2nd at the Mathewson Exhibition Center.

So lets evaluate. Three expansion teams this year. One in Oklahoma has been a great addition. The other two in Colorado and Cheyenne have proven to be flops. Tenured member Springfield in trouble, but will limp on with replacements (will probably not be back next year).
Sioux City, Oklahoma, Council Bluffs, Kansas, and Mid-Mo in 2012 is still stronger than ...
Sioux City, Council Bluffs, Mid-Mo, Kansas, and Springfield in 2011 (and 2011 was stronger than 2010 with the addition of Sioux City).
The league is improving, but in the fallout they will be leaving weaker teams behind that have been a part of the league for awhile. Springfield is the first casualty. Mid-Mo or perhaps Council Bluffs may be next for next year (?).
I'm sure the league will expand again next year, but hopefully they can avoid adding ownerships similar to Colorado and Cheyenne and get something close to an Oklahoma. Expanding isn't easy, but if potential ownerships are questionable, then don't let them in. The remaining 5 teams seem strong enough to go on to next year alone, whereas adding scrubs will only hurt the league.

I just don't see why you would attempt to get a team, if ur not going to be able to finance it for the whole season, I'm no accountant obviously but you would think the teams would understand the costs and be prepared, but so is the way of indoor football it seems

Too many people have a dream of owning a team, but not the funds to make it happen. Some leagues turn a blind eye to the underfunded owners as they just want bodies, and some league's get fooled by owners saying they have more than they actually have (or investors pull out). A successful owner has enough money or more than sufficient investor backing (always plan for more than you think it will it cost and be prepared to lose money). The reality is that most of these leagues are not that professional and neither are most of the teams.

Well said, I knew Colorado was going down when I saw their high school J.V. looking unis, no helmet decals, and air beds on the dasher boards. Why did they join a midwest league so far out of their region.

Banana Cat and qbvic6 hit it on the head. If you can't afford to shell out at lease $70k and get two big sponsors you are really pushing it.

The biggest question I have is what type of process is really followed when it comes to adding teams to the league. I would have to believe that if a better evaluation process were used the problems could be avoided. I Also think that the APFL needs to be careful of over expansion in terms of distance between teams. Many of these teams can not afford super long trips and this has been a problem for other regional leagues as well. When will they learn?

This statement is posted on Real IFF The Mid-Missouri Outlaws (4-3) are not going to make their scheduled trip to Cheyenne, WY this Saturday, May 26th. The Cheyenne Warriors (0-8) are in their inaugural season in the APFL and coming off a 59-22 loss at Sioux City, have scheduled the semi-pro Northern Colorado Wolfpack (1-2) from Greeley, CO, led by Head Coach Michael Lynn. The Wolfpack play in the Colorado Football Conference (1987). The Warriors host Sioux City June 2nd.
This statement came from the Mid-Mo Outlaws facebook page
"The Cheyenne Warriors did not cancel this weeks game and you can chalk this up as a forfeit loss you liars. We scrambled to fill our schedule after you started crying about reimbursements and said YOU werent coming. This is a big crock, get your butts on the bus and drive your sorry lying selves out here...classless"
"I believe it was Monday you threatened if the league didnt meet certain demands by business closing time Tuesday you weren't making the trip and since your not...you forfeit" from Joe Martin

so if i read this right mid mo was worried about getting money from cheyenne for coming to the game and cheyenne could not guarantee that they will have the money so mid mo says we are not coming then cheyenne found a new team to play? is this the way it is or what? did not know teams paid for the other teams expenses for travel i would think each team was responsible for their own travel and everything else

Missouri Outlaws just posted this on facebook
We apologize to our fans for the previous postings about the cancelled game. These conversations between both teams should have taken place in person or over the phone.
