Does anyone have a reason or a guess on why no leagues seem to expand to the NE region?
Providence, RI Springfield, MA Lowell, MA Worcester, MA Manchester, NH Burlington, VT Portland, ME Hartford, CT Bridgeport, CT Norwich, CT New Britain, CT
All these cities support minor league teams, but there are no indoor teams to be found. Just a thought to discuss.

I would say because of them being somewhat remote and by remote I mean away from the Southeast and Great Lakes region. Leagues with teams in the NE usually have more teams away from that region than actually inside it, so the farther away you are in the NE the more expensive your travel costs will be.
The AIF seems to be in the best position geographically to add teams from that region, but the downside is that the AIF is a sham and a scam of a league and doesn't have many well-funded owners.
A new league that is centered in that area seems to be that regions best opportunity for any potential teams. If the CIFL's new direction works out, perhaps in a couple of years they could expand that way and make that region a separate division/conference.

Yeah, I don't know why a new league has not taken an advantage of that opportunity. There is so much potential up here. If I had the man power, I would do it myself, but one man cannot get something like that done.
And yes, it would be dumb to just add a team up there to travel, I was thinking more on the lines of establishing a few teams up there and have regional play until the playoffs kind of like what the UIFL did. Otherwise, it would obviously not work. A team from Maine traveling to Pennsylvania would be a death sentence.
