If true, then it looks like the IFL will indeed have some company as rumored.
As far as Kurz and the CBA, he didn't have a lot of choices there. NFL Network was also pressuring them.
I won't shed any tears for the AFL though.

Will they fold or reform to another league?

I'd heard yesterday that a couple of teams (or more) were interested in coming into the IFL.

The AFL is for sure not loosing the Iowa Barnstormers or the Spokane shock as those teams have already paid their expenses for next years season. They are also succesfull teams and Iowa is one of the oldest teams in the league. The Kansas City Command is rumored to have moved to kemper arena, but I would believe it if they were folding. The Georgia Force are doubtful to leave as they just renewed their arena deal and were playoff contenders.

I won't give up my source for a mere rumor in the "rumors" section, but the teams mentioned were KC and Milwaukee.

interesting thought.. as the KC AFL team moves to the IFL would the CPIFL be a new team whole cloth...
times are getting interesting...

Two teams in KC when they didn't even support the AFL team? Yeah, that would work out.
A source I trust said some AFL teams would be joining the IFL awhile back and now there's rumors from multiple places. Just saying.

It'll be hard to the Command to operate since they sold everything to the CPIFL Kansas City team.

All these indoor leagues need a strong AFL. Like it or not the AFL is the national represenative for all of these leagues. If the AFL folds then it will only hurt the indoor leagues as the exposure to the sport shrinks.

I doubt that actually. All the leagues are suffering from the economy and that won't change for awhile. Having the AFL die may actually help the indoor leagues in the long run. If an indoor league can gain some prominence they actually have a better shot at being more popular than the AFL ever was, IMHO. But, if that does happen I'll probably be eating mashed potatoes in a full care facility by then (I told my daughter I wanted to be put in a place where I could have Asian food every day and not mashed potatoes and she said, "Too bad, you're eating mashed potatoes"). Did I raise her right or what?
