When did St.Louis Attack fold? They seem to have the best attendance in X league, seem to be run professionally, especially for the X league and they have a good coach.

I have three separate sources saying that Haines' team was done with the arena and that a new team has applied to the CIF. Haines will probably have a team somewhere. CIF team may not be approved. Time will tell the tale.

No travel team last year BUT they had the Georgia Firebirds a team not even in the league fill in for teams AND even worse, the X Bowl disaster when Rio Grande Valley did not show and the Marine Raiders were just put into the Championship.

Any updates of the chart? (I'm not on Facebook, so I can't see the updates if they are there.)

Reported attendance for pro sports teams usually covers tickets distributed numbers (which include all tickets sold and all tickets given away for free ... regardless of who actually shows up).
I don't understand this. If I give out 1,000 freebies and 500 of those actually come to a game and I have 1,200 walk-ups, I would say my Att is 1,700. By the above formula Att is 2,200 ( 1,000 freebies + 1,200 walk-ups ). This seems screwy and leads to false Att numbers. I know for a fact that the Erie Explosion only counted "Meat in the Seat" actual persons attending games. The freebies that actually showed up, season tkt holders who were at the game + the walk-up sales..

Most pro sports teams go by tickets distributed numbers, especially minor league teams struggling with filling seats. Sponsors want to know their advertisements at the games are reaching people, so teams will go with the bigger number of course.

I haven't done an updated chart in awhile. I plan on updating it soon. Sorry, holidays and such got in the way ... and a little disinterest.

If you're not on facebook, you really should be. There's a lot not to like, but it's also a really powerful tool when used right.

2016 Projected Indoor Football Alignment (as of 31 January):This chart is compiled from what I've heard only, but some things are left out or are uncorrected just because sources haven't given me permissions to update things. Only alignment that has been announced by leagues themselves is shown, the rest is considered rumors or pending until they're announced. Teams are listed by the market they play in to better show the geography of each league. For example, adding a brand new team named Triangle on the snapshot doesn't give any sense whatsoever to people nationwide on who they are or where they're located, whereas Raleigh instantly lets people know where they are without having to use google. A team's history on this graphic is defined by whether or not ownership owns the intellectual property rights to the team's history and trademarks to the team's nickname. If a team's nickname was changed or the team relocated and changed names, but has the same owner, then it is up to the owner to define whether the history is carried forward or not. Seasons Completed (SC), for the purpose of this graphic, is a total of how many seasons a team has "played" at least 4 games in a "pro" league per year (going light here, borrowing from the new IFL veteran rule that defines a player as a vet if he has played at least 4 games in a year). SC averages for each league are added at the bottom of the graphic. Tiers were developed by Banana Cat and are based on the amount of player pay, reliability of pay, stability of teams, history, bribes, etc. New leagues that are extremely suspect with unproven teams and leadership must successfully complete a full season before being covered here. The current Tier 3 leagues are barely tolerated as it is, I'm not going to cover even worse.

Once a league puts a team on it's schedule, that team is tracked as a part of the league whether they play or not. Being added to the schedule is a vote of confidence by the league. Teams use that to sell tickets, sponsorships, etc. Leagues like to add teams to up their profile, the more teams the better. The bottom line is leagues need to vet new teams and current teams better. The fact that a team doesn't play after being added to the shouldn't be swept under the rug, and on this site it's not.
