Rofl, no way, billings by 28 girzzlies will hold strong early, but the way they played D against maryland, no way they can stop the outlaws

I really dont see why Fairbanks believses in their team so much. I have heard of faith but with their schedule there is no way they will have a winning season, let alone a championship.

One big reason for the winning season is that they've got (I believe) 9 games in Alaska; 7 home and two in Anchorage. They'll win those games, and there's your winning season. If they can get one win on the mainland, and that's doable, they'll have a 10-4 season and perhaps even a home playoff game.

a home playoff game in the intense conference is going to be hard with only 2 teams hosting in the fist round (per conference). They won't win their division, therefore no home game.

Guess that is why they play the games, so we will see where they are at against Billings. Maybe some of the players we have will surprise people...

Fairbanks is probably significantly better then they were last year but I had a feeling this was going to get ugly. One of the top teams in the league - on the road - hostile environment - mysterious calls (had to throw that in for the coaches that can't say it) - just too much.
I am NO fan of Billings but they have a hell of a team and their s--t talking can overwhelm a growing team.
I am sure Ponder has still been recruiting and will get some guys in that will make them better. He will gradually adjust to the style of the game too & recruit for it. 280lb linebackers need not apply.

Fairbanks can only get better from this as I agree that they will try to get better.
