Of the 17 founding IFL teams, which one do you think has the best chance to win the title in 2009?

I actually went with Omaha on this one, sioux falls will have a hard time replacing some of their key starters, billings has a good shot but i believe now that the omaha coach has a year under him they could easily take the title if mcnear plays as well as he did this year, sorry bandits, I just don't see it happening if you have to rebuild every year

I went with the Beef as well. That could be considered a homer pick too, but I think 2009 is the best shot they've had in awhile.
It should be an exciting season no matter who takes it down.

With the talent level and the coaching staff the Swashbucklers have they will be a tough to beat. With only two practice sessions learning the UIF rules they showed they can hang with the best of them.

If indeed the UIFA teams and Intense teams (excluding Alaskan teams) get aligned in separate conferences, then I hope there are a bunch of inter-conference games on the schedule. Variety is the spice of life and seeing teams play unfamiliar opponents is always a good thing in my book. With everyone playing with the same rule set, we're sure to see some good games and the Swashbucklers should be near the top of the league.

Since El Paso isn't an option, I'll go with an expansion team!

I voted for the Swashbucklers. I think it will take a few games to get used to the new rules in the new league. I think they will learn the rules quickly and could very well be playing for the championship.

I voted for the BUCS too!! What the heck... line em up and make them walk the plank! I think that this is a great chance for the smaller teams to get a chance to be competitive in a larger market. We had to play Katy Rough Riders 4 times last year.. was not a pretty thing to see. That should have never happened, it wasnt fair to the Rough Riders to have to face the 2007 IFL Champs like that. Then we went to Fairbanks and almost broke into the triple digits for scroring, 93 to 12!! What the heck? I personally welcome more teams and more competition, win, loose or draw. But I do think that the Bucs will be more on the winning side

the STEALTH!! Ok!!! The Billings Outlaws. I like their chances a LOT more now that they have acquired the best receiver in the league in James Walton
