NOTE: This preface was written on 14 June: This matchup is not final, but very likely. The Omaha Beef clinched the 4th playoff spot in the United Conference, but the league has banned them from the playoffs (behind closed doors) since they are running the team while the owner is under suspension and do not want to pay for the further operating costs that the playoffs would bring. It would take a Hail Mary for the league to reverse their stance on letting Omaha into the playoffs (or maybe an influx of cash from somewhere). Lehigh Valley slides into the 4th playoff spot thanks to their head-to-head record (2-1) over Chicago.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
23 Jun (Sat): Lehigh Valley Steelhawks at Sioux Falls Storm (Playoff)
These two teams did not play during the regular season. Coming into the game, Sioux Falls will either be 14-0 or 13-1 and has dominated the IFL. Lehigh Valley on the other hand is 6-8 and slides into the playoffs thanks to the IFL banning Omaha and a double overtime win over Chicago in their last regular season game.
Who gets the win here?

If Lehigh is in this game I expect complete domination by the Storm's 2nd string and practice sqad. Maybe I'm wrong but Lehigh just doesnt seem to me to have enough play makers.

I cant see Lehigh even making this a competition but maybe they come in with nothing to lose and make a game out of it, but I doubt it.

Practice squad? No respect at all....that's fine the majority, well everyone but the Steelhawks fans say we will get beat but to say the 2nd stringers and practice squad is better is just a stupid statement

It's just a statement that the storm have a lot of competition for their spots and many of the guys that don't get the nod to start could go a lot of places and be a starter every game. As a football fan I would prefer a close game but based on prior games I just don't see this this one being that competitive. I don't say that with the purpose of picking at any one person in particular or to say anything beyond what my thoughts are on the game. Good luck to the Steelhawks, but I pick the Storm to win 78-10 If I'm wrong, than I'm wrong

Yeah, unless they let off the pedal, they'll win by at least 50 points.

Man a shut out would be sweet... I don't see that happening. I could see the Storm holding them to 10 points or less if they keep their starters in all game. I think many starters will be pulled in the 4th quarter though.

Only 4 non-starters makes it kind of hard to pull too many starters.
Dixon played well into the 4th quarter last week in a meaningless game against Omaha.

Yes, I will probably say Seahawks again but I thank BC for listening to enough broadcasts to have heard the mistake the first time. Thanks for listening, Buddy. How many times can I vote for myself?

LOL. I always listen to the broadcasts of the best broadcaster in the sport. I had to add the friendly jab, couldn't resist. You can only vote once unfortunately. You actually have two choices this week with holy help me hannah and seahawks, so add them up and you already have a significant lead in the poll voting.

BC I dont see Riggs taking his foot off the pedal until 4th quarter maybe. It isnt his style to let his guys play down to the competition. He knows he is going to have a much harder game the following week vs GB (more than likely) so I think this will be a warm up game, maybe try some new things, a "practice" if you will.

Of course it isnt the Steelhawks fault that they are in, but if you simply look at any stat or body of work by both teams you cant really say that Lehigh really has any business beng in this game. But it is great for the team and their fans to see them in the playoffs.
