Omaha BEEF are the 10th and final team for the CPIFL inaugural season in 2013. Just got confirmation that Sprowls sold them to the new owners.

Is it the guy who owns "The Dugout" stores? This is Phenominal News. I hope they have Reasonable Ticket Prices for the upcoming season.
Any Idea when Tickets will go on sale?

Answered my own question when I saw the following post on the Beef Facebook Page:
"Husker Express and The Dugout stores are part of a group that purchased The Beef this past week. We will have announcements soon. It going to be a great season at the New Ralston Arena."
Glad I saved my Beef gear that I purchased two years ago.
GO BEEF!!

Just to clarify a couple points in regards to the Kansas City team. The Renegades are a brand new team and not related to the Brigade or the Command, nor have they played in the AFL. Kemper Arena is not a new building, it was built in 1972. When they AFL originally "Expanded" to KC (The AFL actually moved the New Orleans VooDoo to KC, following Katrina, then brought the VooDoo back the following) the team was called the Brigade and actually had a pretty good following. There were many times I saw the 17,000 seat arena almost sold out. Following their second season in KC the decision was made to move games to the newly built Sprint Center. That season three things lead to decline of the team.
1) Ticket prices went up due to the newer stadium.
2) Parking. At Kemper you could park for free and were allowed to tailgate. At Sprint you had to pay unless you wanted to walk for 10 minutes, plus no tailgating. Kansas Citians LOOOOVE to tailgate.
3) The team lost.....alot.
The following year The Brigade was dealt its death blow. The AFL canceled the season. So two years latter when the team returned, there was nowhere need the excitement. The team changed its name to The Command to avoid its debts. With two losing seasons following under the name The Command, the team never recovered it fan base.
Enter Jeremy Ploeger, who originally wanted to by The Command and keep them alive, but then decided it would make better money sense to start a new team, move back to Kemper, lower ticket prices, and join a league with lower overhead.
I believe The Renegades will be a success as long as the league is a success. Kansas City is hungry for a winner (The Chiefs and Royals have not been winners in quite a time), so if The Renegades prove to be a force in this new league attendance will rise again. Throw in the fact that you can tailgate before the games again and ticket prices have dropped, we may have a resurgence.
LOL, plus it will nice to be the "Big Market" team for a change. Kemper has the largest capacity of any of the Arenas in this league by far with 17,000. Closes to Kemper is the Tulsa Convention Center at 8,900, less than half.

It will be interesting to see how the fans support the Renegades (I hope they come out in droves). I don't live there so I have no idea how much marketing the team is doing, but hopefully it's a lot since that is the number one key to getting fans.

Unfortunately not. I only know about the team because I was trying to see if the Command was coming back this year. There was one or two radio interviews I guess, but that is about it. But it is still January, and the Command did not do a good job of marketing and even at the end there was 3,000 to 4,000 in attendance. Like I said before, the key is winning. And I do feel that we will be a power in this league. From what I read and understand with a league that does not pay enough to their player to make a living on, your talent comes from local people. There is not much recruiting from other parts of the country. It would then stand to reason that Kansas City with a population of 459,000 to recruit from, has an advantage over a Sedalia with a population of 21,000 to recruit from.

Winning is second after marketing imho. Many winning teams have had crickets louder than the few fans in the stands. Working with the local tv news stations to get game highlights and segments aired (beg if you have to) and blurbs in the local rags also is key.
