It was nice of the Bandits to stop trying the point afters to save from loosing balls into the crowd. FYI the thrill of possible getting a ball is part of the allure of going to an indoor game.

a lot of teams don't let fans keep kicked balls.
Announce it before the game and it's no problem.
Sorry you didn't have a good experience.

No we are not lame asses that take balls from fans, we stoped kicking PATs sometime after the first quarter and started going for two point conversions.

And it is a problem because fans have a legal right to any ball that goes into the stands.

I'm curious... so the Bandits were forced to use their own game balls during an away game? The home team is "by rule" supposed to supply the game balls. And game balls were never allowed to be kept by fans during kickoffs and PATS - just during regular game action.
-Just remembered that the Bandits were at home this week - my bad.

And it is a problem because fans have a legal right to any ball that goes into the stands. a legal right? No. It is abandonment. If a team does not want to lose possession of the ball they are required to ensure the ball does not enter the stands. In another words I could have sued the Omaha Beef in 2004 for stealing the ball from me and kicking me out of the arena, because they did not use nets to prevent to ball from entering the stands. If I were a minor they would have had the right to assume possession.

you're told you can't keep a kicked ball you have no right to it.
Your ticket isn't a right, it is a privilege and they can revoke that privilege whenever they want (it's probably written on your ticket).

Yes they can revoke the privilage to attend the game, however they still must prevent items from entering the stands.

if you are explicitly told a kicked ball into the stands is not keepable then you have no ground to stand on.

So MLB can say if you catch insert player's record breaking home-run, you have to surrender possession of the ball to said player? Then they wouldn't have to worry about the fan who caught it keeping it.

This issue was solved many many years ago when the MLB tried to get fans to give back baseballs that went into the crowd.
As for the Bandits, I thought they quit kicking because the kicker was sucking and the o-coordinator hates kickers.

Doobi say what you want but when you are up big there is no reason not to "practice" the PAT. One of the officials said we were going for 2 because they were tired of loosing balls. Seems kind of a crappy way to say thanks to 3700+ but maybe that's just me. I agree 100% if you don't want kicked balls to be kept just say so. It has nothing to do with JD not liking to kicking. If that was the case we would have been going for 2 all last year and this year.
